Movie: A Dangerous Method (2011)

A Dangerous Method posterDavid Cronenberg never let me down in the past hopefully his latest movie a Dangerous Method will be no different. It looks like quite a psychological thriller based on the work of Jung and Freud. If that isn’t   enough the eye candy is sure to keep you glued to the screen. No I am not talking about leading lady Keira Knightley though she certainly doesn’t hurt the visuals is what looks absolutely stunning. Through full   disclosure I must say I am quite a fan of a good period piece and the costumes and atmosphere exhibited in the movie look like they won’t let me down in that aspect. I think that if you are a fan of titles such as Gangs of New York, Sherlock Holmes and recent HBO Board Walk empire this movie really ought to catch your eye. The premise of the film itself also seems to be quite controversial. A girl who was sexually excited by her father punishing her seems to be day time talk short worthy as is but then to have her psychologist come along and make her his mistress seems quite manipulative. Whether or not this movie will be a Box office success remains to be seen but I know one thing for certain it looks like it will rank pretty hot in my book. If for nothing else it is a good break from the monotony of super hero mega budge summer flicks Holly Wood is force feeding us especially during the summer months.
