Trivia: Russell Crowe was attached as the lead during pre-production. 20th Century Fox executives wanted to reduce Crowe’s salary considerably, in order to appease the film’s budget. This decision compelled him to ultimately leave the project.

Goofs: Continuity: When Lady Ashley, Drover, and the children are reunited on the wharf, a military ambulance seen behind them is also shown in other battle scenes at different locations in the same time setting. The hood ID numbers are the same.
