Tagline: The world’s greatest leader is a hostage in the most dangerous place on Earth. Now only the deadliest man alive can save him.

Trivia: A scene in the beginning of the film where Snake and another criminal are robbing a high-security bank, which leads to his arrest and sentence to New York, was in the original script but was cut from the film before release.

Goofs: Continuity: The poster advertising shows Snake Plissken sitting in front of the head of the Statue of Liberty which is lying in the street. However, in the movie, the Statue of Liberty is intact; in fact, Liberty Island serves as the control station for the prison facility.
