Movie: Fun with Dick and Jane (2005)

“The day before Globodyne’s stock tanks, a la Enron, and its pension fund evaporates, the corporation’s CEO and CFO set up middle manager Dick Harper to be the public face of the disaster. Jobless, and with no savings, pension, or home equity, Dick and his wife Jane sink slowly into poverty. He looks for work (as do all former Globodyne executives); he even tries day labor with the relatives of their Mexican nanny. A foreclosure notice sends Dick and Jane over the edge into a life of blue-collar crime. Trivia: WILHELM SCREAM: In a deleted scene where Dick and Jane rob a toy store (available on the DVD), the stock scream can be heard two times – as an elderly security guard leaps towards Dick, and again as the guard is thrown out a window.

Goofs: Continuity: When Dick is arrested by the Immigration Officials he is allowed to call Jane, but her son picks up her cell phone at home and says “Hola” which prompts the officials to arrest Dick. However, Jane was actually at the testing facility and her phone later rings and she speaks to Dick. Her phone could not have been with her and at home in subsequent scenes.
