Henry Cavill as the next SupermanAmong all the superheroes, Superman has the most fans. That’s why they keep looking for young gorgeous male actor to revive the classic. And for the next Superman movie, Superman : Man of Steel which will be released on December 2012, Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures have confirmed Henry Cavill as the next Superman.

Who is Henry Cavill? The 27-year-old Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill is a very talented young actor. You may know him better from The Tudors TV series (2007-2010) as Charles Brandon. This November 11th, you will also enjoy Cavill’s act as Theseus in Immortals, directed by Tarsem Singh. Immortals movie tells the story of Theseus, a Greek warrior, who fights the imprisoned Titans. As we can see, this young man is so connected to the classics. He may be just the perfect pick for the classic Superman cast, since we know Clark Kent is never up to date, for example : he always prefers glasses to soft lens. From Immortals (2011) to Superman (2012), Cavill must already have sufficient physical training which makes him ‘just perfect’ in the body-fit S-shield suit. So far, we only know who the next Superman is, but who will be the next Lois Lane? Actually, the 2006’s Superman Returns had both wonderful Brandon Routh as Superman and Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane.  I still remember Brandon’s Superman had beautiful eyes, and Kate’s Lois Lane had lovely dimpled smile. Oh, I miss them! But I am also very interested in Cavill’s Superman. Well, just wait and see who will be the next Lois Lane.

What story will Superman : Man of Steel bring to the audiences? The previous Superman Returns showed us that Superman has a son who also possesses the super power. Will the next Superman movie be the fatherhood story or … well, it’s too early to tell now since we haven’t got the trailer. But I really don’t think ‘Man of Steel’ has anything to do with fatherhood. Or does it?
