Tagline: “As far back as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be a gangster.” — Henry Hill, Brooklyn, N.Y. 1955.

Trivia: During one of the final scenes in the movie, Henry Hill is shown opening his front door and picking up a newspaper. Close inspection reveals that the newspaper is the Youngstown Vindicator. This detail was included by Martin Scorsese as an homage to Youngstown, Ohio, which has been referred to as Mobtown USA.

Goofs: Incorrectly regarded as goofs: When Tommy takes out Stacks, he says, “You’d be late to your own funeral” as he puts the gun to the back of Stacks’ head. When they show Tommy in slow motion, he doesn’t say anything. This is not a goof but rather because Tommy shoots him once in the head and then moves positions before shooting him again. In slow-mo, we do not see the first shot, only the latter ones.
