Trivia: Don Fanucci says that, in order to show proper respect to him, Vito and his friends should allow him to ‘wet his beak a little’, by giving him a share of their profits. This is Sicilian slang, meaning “to get a piece of the pie”, a common expression often used to indicate the extortion activities committed by mafia members.

Goofs: Continuity: During Roth’s birthday party, the pattern on his shirt changes. Due to weather difficulties, the two minute scene took over a week to shoot and the original shirt was lost at some point. The production designer attempted to recreate it by drawing an approximation of the pattern onto a plain shirt, but it didn’t quite match.
