The Hunger Games – A promising film adaptation, based on a book, very well-executed, produced by Lionsgate Entertainment. The main character is a sixteen-year-old girl named Katniss Everdeen and the plot takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. However, things are more complicated than that, this is not the average sci-fi action film. The writers made sure to link the movie with contemporary social issues, using a twisted idea a teenage boy and a teenage girl being sent to compete in the Hunger Games where only one can survive. Direction, scenography and photography are absolutely amazing! The scenery is beautiful and even though the film has used some special effects, they are very well executed in a way that the action scenes actually look real. Main actors Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth fit their characters perfectly and I think, even those who have already read the book and are skeptical about the movie (since many adaptations proved to be so poor) will eventually enjoy and appreciate it. The film makers enhanced the movie with beautiful music that adds to the fantastic atmosphere. The soundtrack is written by Danny Elfman, famous for his music for Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice in Wonderland etc. I am sure this film is going to be the next big success, both due to its elegant aesthetics which is unusual for Hollywood movies and the fantastic plot that, in a way is based on a strange idea that has its roots in the modern world society.

The hunger games is an upcoming science fiction-based movie being directed by Gary Ross. One can always expect a miraculous creation from this person, as he is a greatly talented and skilled director. He has already proven his immense developing and artistic skills in his previous movies and is one of my favorite directors. He is always up to something new and is very much dedicated to his field. He likes experimenting and he stated that this new movie of his is the greatest experiment he has ever done. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson stars in this movie. We can always expect a great deal of artistic work from their side. The movie is expected to be released on March 23, 2012 and is being distributed by Lionsgate productions. The movie is based on a completely new theme that nobody is very much aware of and is attracting more and more people towards it. As per my observation, the youngsters are being more attracted to the movie. As per from my side, I have already become a fan of this movie. I really can’t wait the movie to hit the theaters. I have great expectations about the movie. The uniqueness of the movie itself is enough to make it a great success. One can assure that the movie would be a great asset to the Hollywood industry. The movie is a big budgeted one; 100 million, which shows its commercial significance. The movie is expected to yield huge profits. One can assure that he would enjoy the time he spends on watching the movie.
